A. Google Account Information (Google OAuth 2.0)

When you register or sign in to Kanlex Studio using your Google account ("Sign in with Google"), we request permission through Google's OAuth 2.0 protocol to access the following standard scopes:

• Email Address (.../auth/userinfo.email): Used as your unique account identifier, for sending account security notices, payout notifications, and copyright verifications.
• Basic Profile Info (.../auth/userinfo.profile & openid): Your public display name, unique Google User ID (sub), and avatar/profile photo to personalize your creator studio dashboard.

B. Creator Profile & Payout Information

To enable distribution and direct royalty disbursements, creators provide:

• Mobile Money Phone Number: Used solely to disburse automated film earnings via East African mobile network operators through our licensed payment partner ClickPesa.
• Studio / Production House Name: For public attribution on film listings and licensing credits.
• Regulatory Documentation: Film classification certificates issued by competent authorities where applicable.

C. Film Media & Uploaded Content

Video files (feature films, short films, series, trailers), artwork, poster thumbnails, synopses, and metadata uploaded to Kanlex Studio.

D. Technical & Log Data

Standard technical logs when accessing our servers: IP address, browser type, operating system, access timestamps, and error diagnostics to ensure infrastructure integrity and prevent unauthorized access.

3 Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance

Specifically:

• We NEVER use Google user data to train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
• We NEVER sell, rent, lease, or transfer Google user data to third-party data brokers, advertising networks, or data exchanges.
• We NEVER use Google user data for advertising, retargeting, credit scoring, or user profiling outside the direct functionality of Kanlex Studio.
• Human employees or contractors do not read your private Google data unless you explicitly request customer support or where required by law.

Your data is processed strictly for legitimate operational purposes:

• Account Creation & Authentication: Verifying your filmmaker identity and maintaining secure sessions.
• Video Ingestion & Digital Protection: Processing uploaded media into protected adaptive streaming formats to prevent unauthorized copying.
• Automated Safety & Quality Standards: Automated scanning strictly to verify that uploaded content complies with community guidelines against prohibited material. No personal user credentials are shared during this check.
• Real-Time Analytics & Royalty Payouts: Tracking verified viewer watch time and calculating your creator revenue share paid directly via mobile money.
• Communication & Support: Sending critical operational notices, copyright clearance alerts, and payout confirmations.

5 Information Sharing & Third-Party Service Providers

We do not sell or monetize your personal data. We share data only with trusted infrastructure providers under strict contractual confidentiality agreements:

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP): High-security cloud compute and database hosting located in European Union regions (Belgium europe-west1).
• Cloudflare Inc.: Object storage and CDN edge caching to ensure low-latency, tamper-proof video streaming in East Africa.
• ClickPesa / Mobile Network Operators: Licensed payment service provider used exclusively to execute mobile money disbursements to creator phone numbers.
• Legal & Regulatory Authorities: We may disclose information if legally compelled by judicial courts or law enforcement under applicable statutory laws.

6 Data Security & Protection Standards

We implement industry-standard administrative, physical, and technical safeguards:

• All network traffic is encrypted in transit using Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3 / HTTPS).
• Creator videos and audio segments are protected using cryptographic stream protection with dynamically issued decryption keys.
• Database credentials, API tokens, and private keys are isolated in encrypted environment variables and secret stores.

7 Data Retention & Your Rights (Account & Data Deletion)
